Will the rest of the WSOP be played behind closed doors?

Today play ended with around 134 players (TBC). The WSOP media rules stipulates no photographers or reporters once play has reached 150. Even before then we were constantly frustrated today. I waited in line for 30 minutes to be told I would be first in line after the dinner break. What was I to do for 75 minutes?

No point going to the restaurants as they would be full and the wait staff overrun. What a good time to photoshop some photos. Only problem was I had not been allowed in to take any. So I crawled through some railbirds legs and byed Checkpoint Charlie and took a few shots in the minute remaining.

When I returned to the front of the line after dinner I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to witness Scott O'Reilly has left the packed streets of peak season Torquay to visit the WSOP. The 22 year old won his seat on PartyPoker and is still in the game with $501k in chips.

Forty overseas players remain. 15 Scandanavians, 4 Irishmen, 1 Scot Mark Shauta, 1 Welshman Matthew Morgan, 1 Aussie Sam Khoueis and from England Richard Gryko 994k, Kevin Daly 622k and Paul Coles 239k.

Chip leader is Jamie Gold from Malibu in the Golden state (California) with 3.7m

With all eyes on the main event Pran Bansi was the second British bracelet winner in Event #40. Praz also won $230k.

Derek Payne, a British player living in Las Vegas, also won his seat and finished 380th for $30,512.
